FAQs

Before you begin.

Simple answers to common questions about diabetes reversal, remission, medication safety, consultations, programs and what to expect from the Nirog Bhumi journey.

Diabetes Reversal & Remission

Can Type 2 diabetes really go into remission?

For many people, yes. Research shows that Type 2 diabetes can go into remission when the body’s metabolic environment improves deeply enough, especially through weight reduction where needed, improved insulin sensitivity, reduced organ fat, better food habits, movement, sleep and stress regulation.

Remission is not guaranteed for everyone, but it is a real and measurable possibility.

What does diabetes remission mean?

The American Diabetes Association-led international consensus defines remission as HbA1c below 6.5%, measured at least three months after stopping glucose-lowering medication.

This does not mean a permanent cure. It means that blood sugar is no longer in the diabetic range at that point in time without diabetes medication.

Is remission the same as cure?

No. Diabetes can return if the underlying causes return, including excess weight, poor food habits, lack of movement, poor sleep, high stress and processed food dependence. Remission must be protected through continued lifestyle discipline, regular monitoring and medical supervision.

Do you promise diabetes reversal?

No. We do not promise a cure or guaranteed reversal. We work seriously toward improving the root causes of Type 2 diabetes. Some people may achieve remission, some may reduce medication dependence, and others may improve blood sugar, weight, energy, digestion, sleep and overall metabolic health. Results vary from person to person.

Is diabetes reversal possible if diabetes is hereditary?

Family history increases risk, but it does not make diabetes inevitable or irreversible. Lifestyle, food, sleep, stress, movement and weight can strongly influence metabolic health even when diabetes runs in the family.

Safety, Medicine & Medical Supervision

Can I stop my diabetes medicines after joining?

No. Please do not stop or change diabetes medicines or insulin suddenly. If your blood sugar improves, medication changes must be discussed with and prescribed by your treating doctor.

Is Nirog Bhumi a replacement for my doctor?

No. Nirog Bhumi does not replace your doctor, diabetologist, diagnosis, emergency care or medical treatment. We provide education, lifestyle guidance, structured programs, habit support and natural health practices.

What if I am already on insulin?

You may still begin with a consultation, but insulin users need extra caution and close medical supervision. Any medication or insulin adjustment must be handled by your treating doctor.

Is the program safe for everyone?

Not every practice is suitable for every person. People with heart disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, advanced complications, kidney disease, recent surgery, pregnancy, severe weakness or other medical concerns may need modifications and medical clearance.

Consultation & Programs

What happens in the 30-minute consultation?

The consultation helps us understand your diabetes history, lifestyle rhythm, food habits, sleep, stress, medication context and current challenges. You will also receive simple, practical actions that you can begin immediately.

What should I keep ready before the consultation?

Please keep recent HbA1c, fasting sugar, post-meal sugar readings, current medicines, weight history, food routine, sleep pattern, activity level, stress levels and any relevant medical reports ready.

Which Nirog Bhumi program should I start with?

If you are unsure, start with a consultation. Based on your current condition, goals, readiness and lifestyle patterns, the team can guide you toward the most suitable next step.

What is the 6-Month Diabetes Reversal Program?

It is an integrated lifestyle program combining food regulation, yoga, naturopathy, Ayurveda, acupressure, meditation, sleep correction, habit tracking and community support. It is designed to work on the underlying conditions that contribute to Type 2 diabetes.

What is Yoga for Diabetes?

Yoga for Diabetes is a structured yoga program using asanas, pranayama, meditation and relaxation practices to support diabetes reversal through movement, breath, stress reduction and core strength.

Lifestyle, Food & Yoga

Is the program only about diet?

No. We work on food, movement, yoga, sleep, stress, digestion, habits, connection with nature, habit tracking and community support. The whole metabolic environment must improve.

What kind of diet does Nirog Bhumi recommend?

Nirog Bhumi recommends fibre-rich, plant-based whole foods eaten as close to their natural form as possible, while reducing ultra-processed foods, refined carbohydrates, added sugars, fried foods and processed substitutes.

Why do you focus on movement and yoga?

Muscles are one of the body’s biggest glucose sinks. Movement helps move glucose out of the blood and into cells. Yoga also supports stress reduction, flexibility, core strength, breath control, sleep discipline and nervous-system balance.

Why do you focus on sleep and stress?

Poor sleep and chronic stress can disturb hormones, increase cravings, worsen insulin resistance and make blood sugar harder to control. Yoga Nidra, pranayama, Shavasana, meditation, early light dinners and steady routines support recovery.

Results, Tracking & Commitment

How soon can I see results?

Some people may notice early changes in energy, digestion, sleep, cravings or glucose readings within days or weeks. Deeper metabolic change takes time. The goal is sustainable improvement, not a temporary drop in sugar.

How will progress be tracked?

Progress may be tracked through blood sugar readings, HbA1c, weight, waist, habits, food discipline, sleep, movement, stress, digestion and energy. The 6-month program also tracks habit adherence.

What if I cannot follow everything perfectly?

You do not need to be perfect. You need to be consistent. The program focuses on small daily changes repeated long enough to become part of your life.

Will I be judged if I fail?

No. Nirog Bhumi is built around support, not shame. Community groups are designed to create encouragement, accountability and shared progress.

Still unsure?

I am interested but confused. What should I do first?

Start with a 30-minute consultation. We will help you understand your current health picture, what may be affecting your diabetes and which first steps are most suitable.

Is this emergency care?

No. If you have very high or very low blood sugar, chest pain, breathlessness, fainting, severe weakness, confusion, infection or urgent symptoms, contact your doctor or emergency medical services immediately.
